Fordham Pre-School & Out of School Clubs

Fordham Pre-School was established over 30 years ago by local parents keen for their children to be able to socialise and learn within their local community.

The pre-school was registered as a Charity in 1985 and still continues to run with the support of a parent Committee, who work with the management team to ensure the pre-school continues to offer high quality early years education.

We operate from modern purpose built premises on the same site as Fordham Primary School. Our proximity to the school means that our children are already familiar with the building and members of the teaching staff, which makes the transition process a lot less daunting for them.

We aim to provide children with a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment, in which they can develop and thrive emotionally, socially, physically and educationally.

Our preschool has a large outdoor play area, divided into sections.

We have our grass and covered hard surface areas where the children can get involved in a variety of activities:

  • Bikes, cars, scooters, tractors
  • Playhouse
  • Slides and climbing frames
  • Building with a variety of blocks
  • Digging area
  • Sandpit
  • Water play
  • Mark making
  • Role play

We also have a bespoke mud kitchen, sensory area and allotment, where the children get involved in planting, caring for and harvesting a range of vegetables and herbs throughout the year.

Inside we have something for everyone, including a well-stocked book corner, a play kitchen, more building blocks, construction toys, ‘small world’ playsets, access to a huge range of craft and mark making resources and plenty of very messy play opportunities!

For anyone interested in enrolling their child, we hold regular open days, but are always delighted to show prospective families around our setting at any time. Please get in touch by phone or email if you’d like to arrange a visit, we’d love to hear from you!
